Before, documents to be sent overseas had to be prepared for shipment, booked for pickup, or brought to a DHL service point. Now, simply send documents and an international waybill in a "Letter Pack Light" package whenever, wherever.
No more waiting for pickup. Just drop it off at a post office or post box whenever you like.

How to ship
Upon making credit card payment (required), you can send your documents overseas with DHL Express by placing your documents in a Japan Post "Letter Pack Light" and posting them at a post office or post box. No need to head to a DHL service point near you or request for pickup.
How to use DHL with "Letter Pack Light"
To send documents with DHL using "Letter Pack Light", please read the instructions carefully and create a waybill in MyDHL+ after clicking on "Ship with Letter Pack Light" below.

Ship with "Letter Pack Light"
Only documents can be shipped. The following items are not considered documents and cannot be shipped
Not acceptable: Letters of credit, Disks, Storage media, Plastic Cards, Cash
- DHL corporate account bill payment shipments are not eligible for this service. Please use pickup or bring to a DHL Service Point.
- Upon arrival at the DHL facility, the "Letter Pack Light" package will be opened and contents inspected by DHL staff and the waybill removed.
- After removing the waybill, DHL staff will seal the ”Letter Pack Light” with tape and ship it overseas in a DHL envelope.
- After acceptance by DHL, you will be able to track your shipment on the DHL website.
- The shipper is responsible for the purchase price of "Letter Pack Light"
- Please contact Japan Post regarding accidents, etc. that occur during transportation of "Letter Pack Light". DHL is unable to respond to inquiries regarding "Letter Pack Light" in transit.
- All shipments will be reweighed at DHL facilities. Any difference from the shipping amount settled in MyDHL+ will be charged additionally.
- The number of days for domestic "Letter Pack Light" delivery will be added to estimated delivery days displayed in MyDHL+.
- DHL reserves the right to make the final decision regarding shipment.
- If DHL determines that the shipment is not possible, or if the destination country cannot be shipped to, DHL may, at its own discretion, cancel the shipment. In such cases, the shipment will be returned with cash on delivery. Any amount paid through credit card will be refunded.
- If for some reason, documents that cannot be shipped cannot be returned to the customer, the item will be disposed of in accordance with DHL's regulations. We thank you for your understanding.
